TR Group Expands Australian Fleet with Heavy-Duty Dog Tipper Trailers

TR Group has expanded its Australian rental fleet with the introduction of heavy-duty 3-axle and 4-axle dog tipper trailers, further strengthening our offering for customers operating in the civil, quarry, construction, and bulk haulage sectors.

The new trailers complement our recently launched steel tipper truck range, allowing customers to access a complete, site-ready tipper combination through a single nationwide rental provider.

Since entering the Australian market in 2019, we have continued to grow our presence by drawing on more than 30 years of experience in New Zealand. Our proven rental model supports a wide range of industries, including transport, refrigerated freight, container logistics, civil construction, and infrastructure projects.

Built for Demanding Applications

Our new dog tipper trailers are engineered to perform in tough operating environments. Featuring Hardox steel-lined bodies, they deliver exceptional durability, stability, and reliable tipping performance when handling abrasive materials.

The fleet includes both 3-axle and 4-axle configurations to suit a variety of operational requirements:

  • 4-axle dog tipper trailers feature 8.3m, 22m³ high-capacity bodies, ideal for bulk product cartage and high-volume haulage.

  • 3-axle dog tipper trailers feature 6m, 14m³ bodies, offering improved manoeuvrability for urban construction projects and sites with limited access.

All units are PBS approved, enabling operators to maximise payloads while maintaining efficiency and compliance.

Designed for Productivity

To support efficient operations, the trailers combine ultra-high-strength Hardox steel floors and side sheets with lightweight components, including polished aluminium wheels.

Additional productivity features include:

  • Two-way swinging tailgates for flexible unloading

  • Full-length spray suppression systems to minimise road debris

  • Heavy-duty chassis construction

  • Disc brake axles

  • Airbag suspension

  • Electronic Braking Systems (EBS)

Together, these features help deliver reliable performance across demanding construction, quarry, and infrastructure environments.

Site-Ready Safety Features

Safety remains a key focus across our fleet. The new dog tipper trailers are designed to meet Tier 1 infrastructure project requirements, including NSW G22 compliance, enabling them to operate on major project sites from day one.

Each trailer comes equipped with a comprehensive safety package, including:

  • Body and reverse camera systems

  • Body alarms and strobe lights

  • Side underrun protection

  • Digital onboard scales

  • Reverse work lights and squawker

  • Hoist anti-burst valves

  • Electric tarps with wireless remote operation

  • Grain locks and high-visibility markings

These features are designed to enhance site safety, improve operational visibility, and support efficient day-to-day operation.

Supporting Flexible Fleet Solutions

The addition of dog tipper trailers reflects growing demand from civil and infrastructure operators for flexible, project-ready fleet solutions.

By pairing these trailers with our steel tipper trucks, customers can quickly scale their operations with high-quality equipment, without the upfront capital investment and long lead times associated with purchasing assets.

Flexible rental terms are available nationwide, from short-term requirements through to long-term project contracts.

Continuing to Grow Our Specialist Fleet

The launch of our 3-axle and 4-axle dog tipper trailers marks another step in TR Group's ongoing investment in specialist rental equipment across Australia.

As demand for project-based fleet flexibility continues to grow, we remain focused on providing durable, compliant, and site-ready equipment that helps our customers keep their projects moving.
