TR Group Adds Flat Top Rigid Trucks to Expanding Nationwide Rental Fleet
TR Group has announced the latest addition to its Australian rental fleet — Flat Top rigid trucks, now available for immediate hire. Purpose-built for versatility and safety, these trucks are designed to meet the demands of freight and logistics operators across metro and regional networks.
Equipped with a 9-metre flat deck and a 15-tonne payload, the new Flat Tops are ideal for transporting 20-foot containers, steel, timber, or general freight. Their compact and powerful design makes them particularly well suited to tight-access delivery zones and sites where trailers are impractical.
“We introduced this category in response to direct customer demand,” says Rick Halliwell, National Sales Manager at TR Group. “Operators were looking for a tough, flexible solution that didn’t require a prime mover and trailer. These Flat Tops hit that sweet spot — offering strength, safety, and manoeuvrability in one package.”
Safety First
Safety continues to be a core focus for TR Group, and the Flat Top rigids are no exception. Each unit is equipped with advanced driver safety technology, including:
- Traffic Eye Braking System – provides automatic braking assistance in traffic
- Driver Alert System – helps detect signs of driver fatigue
- Front and Rear Cameras – aid with reversing and close-quarter manoeuvring
Additional features include, 15-tonne payload capacity, container and spigot pins for secure container transport, underbody toolboxes and dunnage boxes plus automatic transmission for ease of operation.
